H1N1 Virus (Swine Influenza)

The H1N1 flu virus has spread throughout the world.  Vanderbilt seeks to reduce the likelihood of transmission and illness through education of faculty, staff and students and by providing up-to-date information to help the Vanderbilt community address any challenges presented by the emergence of the H1N1 virus.

Vanderbilt continues to monitor the situation and this web site will be updated to provide current information to faculty, staff, and students.

For the Vanderbilt Community

Stay home if you are sick. If you have symptoms of influenza-like illness, stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever is gone except to get medical care or for other necessities. (Your fever should be gone without the use of a fever-reducing medicine.) Stay away from others as much as possible to avoid making others sick.
